1. It is a sincere wish of the Oz
GMs that our players find themselves in an environment as pleasant
as possible.
To reach that end, the following guidelines
shall be strictly enforced on all players of Oz Online.
2. Abusing a Bug
- Using a bug, technical glitch or otherwise
abnormal server/client behavior to gain unfair advantage is
strictly prohibited.
- Knowingly exploiting such a case, distributing
methods of a bug abuse or otherwise encouraging the
engagement in abnormal exercises
shall warrant a GM action against a player.
- The Oz GMs are open to all reports that contain
a legitimate concern regarding a bug or an error that has
caused a measurable form of damage
to players. In the event of such a case, compensation may
be offered
depending on circumstances.
- All advantage gained through exploits shall
be confiscated by the GMs, including experience points,
items, game money and other tangible
and intangible benefits. The account holding products of an
exploits
may be the target of permanent suspension.
- Any damage or inconvenience a player inflicts
on the avatar or account while attempting to use an exploit
cannot be reimbursed by the GMs,
and is the sole responsibility of the player.
- The measure and severity of actions taken against
such a player or an account shall be determined according
to internal criteria.
3. Use and Distribution of Unauthorized Software
- Any damage or inconvenience a player inflicts
on the avatar or account while utilizing or attempting to
utilize unauthorized software in
conjunction with the game client cannot be reimbursed by the
GMs, and is
the sole responsibility of the player.
- All advantage gained through utilizing unauthorized
software shall be confiscated by the GMs, including
experience points, items, game money
and other tangible and intangible benefits. The account holding
products
of such software may be the target
of permanent suspension.
- The measure and severity of actions taken against
such a player or an account shall be determined according
to internal criteria.
- Even without the utilization of unauthorized
software, tampering with the game client, modifying the information
sent to or received from the game
servers, accessing and changing any aspect of the web site
without prior
clearance shall result in a GM investigation.
In the event of unlawful player actions, proper law-enforcement
authority shall be notified.
4. Foul Language and Inappropriate Behaviors
- Since all players of Oz Online have the right to
enjoy the service without negative influence from other players,
the players likewise have an obligation
to be considerate of others.
- All players of Oz Online have the right to
report any and all incidents in which their gameplay experience
is
thought to be negatively impacted.
Please keep in mind that filing a report does not warrant
an automatic GM
action upon the entity accused in
the report, unless the report contains an incontrovertible
evidence or a GM
investigation finds similar evidence.
- Using foul language, excessive slang or otherwise
insulting verbal engagement may be the subject of
such a report.
- Unwanted solicitation or sexually explicit
descriptions and gestures may be the subject of such
a report.
- A continued abuse toward another player, verbal
and otherwise, as well as general harassment and stalking
that prevents normal gameplay may
be the subject of such a report.
- Committing such an act cannot be excused even
if it was in response to a prior provocation from another
player.
- Any and all incidents not detailed above or
under the terms should be judged against the Agreement of
Usage
and the general accepted commonsense
before a report is filed.
- The measure and severity of actions taken in
response to a legitimate report shall be determined according
to
internal criteria.
5. In-game Dispute Between Players
- The GMs shall not intervene on a dispute between
players unless the said dispute involves a breach of any
article under the Terms of Service
and Agreement of Usage.
- In the event of an in-game scam, the GMs cannot
act unless it is a result of a mechanical failure within the
game
system. It is the sole responsibility
of the players to prevent such an incident from happening.
- If a dispute between players infringes upon
the enjoyment of other general players, the GM may intervene
to
resolve the matter for the good of
all players. Parties involved in the said dispute must comply
at once with
a GM decision as soon as it is made.
- Players must abide by the section IV of the
Terms during the settling of all disputes with other players,
as long
as they are in-game.
