Chat Menu
These menus are found at the lower lefthand corner of the screen. The four icons are used to navigate the chat system in Oz.

Speech Bubble
Speech bubbles make for a more visual and interesting conversation. There are seven categories of icons for your enjoyment.

Action
You may click on the actions described in this Emotes menu to have your avatar carry out the given action, such as 'laugh' and 'cry.'



Chat Mode
There are four chat modes available in Oz.

Casinoaim provides you with the most popular online casinos information.
Say
This is the command normally used to communicate with people nearby. The chatbox will disappear after a period of inactivity.
Shout
This reaches a broader area, and the sentences spoken with this command will not automatically disappear from the chat box.
Whisper
You may use this command after selecting a proper recipient. Only the person you intend can see the message.
Party Say
This is the command to use when chatting with your party members. Unlike other chat modes, this only requires that all party members be in the same town for the command to work. Also, please keep in mind that players around you will see "Party:[unknown symbols]" in place of your messages.

Chat Log
This window keeps record of your conversations, up to a certain point in the past.
The messages are color-coded for easier understanding:

Pink: Party members
Brown: Other players
Black: You
Purple: Server messages
