Using your rod |

Equip your fishing rod from the inventory. If you move with the rod equiped, it will automatically be withdrawn back into the bag.

Selecting bait |

When you have a rod out in your hand, the fishing window will come up. Because different fish are attracted by different bait, you must carefully consider the bait of choice.

Casting the lure |

| |
Once you have chosen the bait, it's time to fling your lure into the water. The amount of distance it travels is proportional to how long you hold your mouse button, so control it as best as you can. |

Waiting |

| |
Your lure has a green arrow directly above, to distinguish it from other people's lures. Now all you need is a little patience. |

Biting |

| |
Something's nibbling at your bait! If you're using a belled rod, you will hear its ringing now. Your lure will bob up and down, causing ripples on the surface. |

Pulling |

 |
| |
Final showdown with your potential catch. The fishing gauge will now change its color, to indicate where the 'sweet spot' is. When the moving pointer is inside the sweet spot, click on the 'Pull' button or press 'ALT.' The closer the pointer is to the center of the bar, the quick you will exhaust the fish. How much stamina the fish has left is displayed on this window as well. |
